Fingerprinting Service

The KU Police Department offers fingerprinting services to KU students, staff, and faculty.  Fingerprinting services are offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, based on availability.  We encourage calling ahead (785-864-5900) to ensure that personnel are available. We have the capabilities to do Live Scan fingerprints as well as ink fingerprints.

Beginning January 6, 2025, we will charge $15 for fingerprinting services. We accept credit cards or checks.

Bring the following items to your fingerprinting appointment:

• Valid government issued photo ID
• Valid KU ID
• Instructions provided by the requesting agency or organization
• Fingerprint card(s) if provided by the agency or organization
• Envelope with adequate postage if we are required to mail fingerprint card for you
• Any additional paperwork to be completed by us for the agency or organization
